Rest

Rest is key.

Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) and deep meditative states can help you access your inner calm in a busy world.

Rest is often an overlooked and ignored aspect of health and wellness. In order to thrive we need to be well-rested and this doesn’t just mean a good night’s sleep. Although that’s a good start.

In our busy, fast-paced world we often live in our “fight or flight” response system. I offer ancient healing practices that help you access your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest). Taking the time to do ‘nothing’, to be still and rest your body and mind is essential in our over-stimulating world.

I teach yoga nidra and guided meditations to help you rest in your parasympathetic nervous system and access a deep state of rest.

Breathwork (Prānāyāma)

Breath is Vital.

Breathwork (Pranayama) is a vital part of your healing process.

Pranayama is an incredibly important part of the yogic tradition but is often dismissed in yoga studios. Some of the most profound emotional shifts happen when you learn to control your breath through breathing practices.

“As the breath, so the mind.” How we breathe has a real impact on our mental health. With simple, but hugely effective breathing practices you can really set the tone for your day.  Setting aside time in the morning and evening can help you move through your day with confidence and also vastly improve the quality of your sleep.

Some of my most profound energetic and mental breakthroughs have happened by simply learning how to control my breath. I practice pranayama with Kia Miller in the Kundalini tradition and I’m now thrilled to pass this powerful tool on to others.

I offer 1-1 or group pranayama sessions. This is a subtle but exceptionally powerful form of energy work. Sometimes, simple really is best.
